I think that’s his way of showing concern for Reid. That’s his way of offering him help. You’re not crazy, now let’s distract you with the work you enjoy kind of thing. Like, that’s his psychological method of getting Reid back on track. Presenting him with a puzzle to distract him from his worries. Maybe? Does that make any sense?
